Wish List
On any given day there are plenty of things we use to ensure that all of our pets have a safe, clean, safe place to temporarily call home.
Thanks to the generosity of people like you, we have food to keep everyone fed for quite awhile. There are, however, lots of other things that we use on a day to day basis that you may not realize. Keeping the shelter clean and welcoming is a nonstop job and the staff here prides themselves on making sure that everything looks and smells as fresh as possible. The shelter wish list follows. Thank you!
Wish List
Donations of the following would be appreciated, but please call ahead before purchasing. Our on-hand supplies fluctuate, and we don’t have a lot of storage space (except when it comes to cat litter. We can always make room for cat litter)! Additionally, if you’re a fan of shopping on Amazon, you can take a look at our Amazon Wishlist HERE.
Grain Free Food: Our dogs and cats are on a pretty strict diet of grain free foods (no corn). A large bag of dog or cat food makes a huge impact on the shelter and helps us provide the best quality food that we can find. If you would like suggestions, just give us a call at the shetler: 856.435.9116
Clumping Cat Litter: It’s the one thing we use the most and the one thing we constantly need. The cats DO use quite a bit of it and we go through about 200 lbs of cat litter a week, so it’s a total necessity. The clumping variety works best for us as it allows us to quickly clean litter pans and spend more time finding great homes for them.
Bleach: Bleach! What can we say. It’s the utility product that has the most uses and we definitely use it A LOT. We use about 10-12 gallons a week at the shelter, and it can’t be stockpiled because it loses potency over time.
Paper Towels: Another item we go through constantly, paper towels are always a welcome sight when they’re donated. We use them to clean surfaces, dry our hands and a million other ways that are just too numerous to name.
Vinyl Gloves: We go through these by the case, and are always running low. These thin, sterile gloves enable us to sanitize individual cage and kennels safely, and help prevent the spread of disease. We use vinyl instead of latex because of allergies, and need medium, large, and extra-large sizes. Please call ahead to see check on our supply.
Hand Sanitizer: We use a lot of sanitizer, and it’s an important part of keeping both our animals and people healthy. We need the biggest containers you can find, with pumps. Call ahead to check on our supply.
Other Items: Wet Dog Food, dry cat food, peanut butter, cream cheese, hot dogs, cheese slices.
