Kathleen Leary is our Executive Director. Joining AAC in January, 2021, Kathleen brings many years of rescue experience to our organization. Sherry Leary is our Shelter Manager. Sherry joined AAC in August 2021, she brings a plethora of knowledge when it comes to sheltering, she loves working with the dogs and cats that may need a little more socialization and can tell you about everyone in our care. Sherry has a great enrichment program set up for the cats and dogs in our care and makes sure that their time spent here is enjoyable. [Contact info for Sherry]
![]() Michelle Dodson is our Shelter Coordinator. She manages our ever growing army of dedicated volunteers as well as our weekly adoption events that occur all over South Jersey. She joined AAC in April, 2017 after a career in education. She has extensive volunteer experience and will use that experience to perfect our programs here. [Contact info for Michelle]

Pam Pierce is one of our kennel assistants, she has been in the animal welfare world for many years and is a great addition to our team. Pam goes above and beyond to make sure the animals in our care are taken care of and loves seeing them getting adopted. [Contact info for Pam]
The board of trustees is a volunteer body responsible for stewardship of the shelter’s mission and finances. Officers are elected and serve one-year terms.
