Kathleen Leary is our Executive Director. Joining AAC in January, 2021, Kathleen brings many years of rescue experience to our organization. Vanessa Leidy, is our Kennel Manager. She joined AAC in 2013 as part of our kennel staff and tirelessly worked her way up to our Kennel Manager position. Along with her responsibilities in the kennel, Vanessa also works with our vet to ensure the health and well being of each dog in our kennel.[Contact info for Vanessa]
Ryan Parks, part of our kennel staff and our adoption staff, joined AAC as a volunteer quite some time ago. The rescue bug bit him hard and his willingness to work and learn made it impossible not to add him to our family. On any given day, you'll find Ryan working with our adopters, caring for the dogs even designing some of the graphics we use. [Contact info for Ryan] |
Michelle Dodson is our Community Outreach Coordinator. She manages our ever growing army of dedicated volunteers as well as our weekly adoption events that occur all over South Jersey. She joined AAC in April, 2017 after a career in education. She has extensive volunteer experience and will use that experience to perfect our programs here. [Contact info for Michelle]

Trustees
The board of trustees is a volunteer body responsible for stewardship of the shelter’s mission and finances. Officers are elected and serve one-year terms. The board hires the Executive Director, who is responsible for all shelter operations.
