Lost Pets
Found Pets
- Call your local animal control office to report the lost animal. Municipal animal control offices are a central location for lost and found pet information and are usually the first place that a good Samaritan will look when he or she has taken in a stray pet. Municipal animal control offices also pick up and house stray pets. It’s also a good idea to physically visit your local animal control office to verify whether or not your pet is being housed there.
- Animal Adoption Center is not an "open admission" facility. That means that we have no existing municipal contracts to accept stray pets from animal control or pets found by community members. There are two open admission facilities in Camden County: Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center and Voorhees Animal Orphanage. If your pet has gone missing, please report it to one of those two organizations. If you need to know which facility serves your town/municipality, please check HERE.
- Your pet may be at another shelter in the area. Be sure to contact all area shelters including Burlington County Animal Shelter, South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter and Gloucester County Animal Shelter.
