Our Programs
Adoptions: This is the very heart of what we do. Transferring animals from municipal shelter partners saves lives, and finding homes for animals changes lives – that’s our mission, in a nutshell. Our rescue and shelter efforts will always include spay/neuter as needed for every adopted animal, as well as a microchip and any necessary vet medical care. After that, it’s all about finding permanent homes in a timely fashion, and your support makes it happen!

Community Service: Serving the community is an important part of our mission, as well. As part of New Jersey’s “Work First” initiative in support of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), AAC is proud to participate in the state’s Community Worker Experience Program (CWEP). CWEP offers participants employment, training, and experience that provides improved opportunities and changes lives. CWEP placements are directed towards organizations and agencies directly involved in useful public service areas, and ours are hardworking, diligent, and caring.
Humane Education: Our program helps children to better understand and care for the companion animals in their lives. Operated by AAC volunteers, this program fosters competence, compassion, and respect by:
Veteran Discount Program: We are honored to be participating in the Camden County Animal Alliance Pets for Vets program. Through this program, the adoption fee for selected adults (1 year of age or older), and senior animals will be waived. * The Camden County Freeholders generously fund this program, which covers the cost of the adoption fee. AAC will make it available to our adopters to the extent that the program is funded. Feel free to contact us to see if the program is still being funded. |
Our programs are how we deliver our mission. Saving lives and supporting the community remain our primary goals. Thank you for your support!
